Online transactions that require a social security number or other sensitive data are required to encrypt the data transmission with 128bit secure socket layer (SSL) technologies. SilverCloud fully supports SSL. Administrators can define up to full End User and Administration encryption.
Additional security can be applied by restricting access based upon the IP address of users.
Users can be required to log in to access information with SilverCloud. This is useful for tracking access or restricting access. SilverCloud is often used by employees behind a firewall without login, or as with login for more sensitive information areas (HR, IT, accounting, legal, executive, board of directors).
