Providing full support for multiple knowledge bases - much like Oracle or other DB vendors provide - SilverCloud provides for vastly superior information security practices compared to a single, monolithic database for all users and content.

 

Which Side of the Firewall?

SilverCloud provides tight administration and integration for multiple knowledgebases.  Because these knowledgebases will contain very different content with varying degrees of sensitivity, Credit Unions will often want to physically locate these knowledgebases on different machines and networks.  For example, a organization may often locate a public/member knowledge base outside there firewall with their public website.  Their employee knowledgebase, on the other hand, will be located behind their firewall.  Two separate knowledgebases greatly reduce security threats, and also minimizes mis-publishing information by employees.

 

Multiple knowledgebases also provide for better scalability and content organization.
