Technical Requirements

Technical Requirements are listed below for server, administrative and client side usage.  Since the SilverCloud/Retrieve Engine is a browser based product, administrative and client side requirements are minimal. 

Administrative User Requirements:

Web Browser:  Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater, Mozilla Firefox 0.9.2 or greater.

Browser Plugin:  Java Runtime Environment 1.4.x or greater.

Client Side Requirements:

Web Browser:  Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater, Mozilla Firefox 0.9.2 or greater

Internet Connection Requirements:

The minimum requirement for an Internet connection is a 56K modem. High-speed Internet access, such as DSL, cable, T-1, or ISDN is recommended for improved performance.  
 

Sever Requirements:

Hardware:
CPU:  Pentium4 - 2GHz (or RISC equivalent), or higher recommended.
Memory:  Minimum 1GB, 2GB + recommended.
Hard Drives:  2 GB HDD Space minimum. For movie intensive installs 6 GB is suggested.
CD ROM Drives:  CD-ROM drive required for installation.

Software:
Operating Systems,  Windows: Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003
Operating Systems, Linux:  RedHat 9.x through Fedora Core 3 supported. For other UNIX OS enquire with SilverCloud Software support.

Application Server(s) required:  Apache Tomcat 5.0

Web Server (optional): Apache Webserver 5.0.28

Administrator email accounts required: POP3 remote or local mail server interaction supported.

Database Server(s required):  MySQL 4.0.17 or greater, Microsoft SQL Sever 2000
