Update Notifications / Viewer Reports Features

Notification Options:

There are two options that Authors/ContentMatterExperts(CME's) can use to notify users of new, updated, changed or deleted content.

Passive - When a change is made to a piece of content, you can flag this content by placing a "Note" next to it - the next time that a user logs in, that piece of content is marked with a red indicator light indicating that content has changed.

Active - Active notification enables you to proactively notify the users when a change is made.  This active notification can be used to email everyone who has the vBook in their library.  The indicator(flag) remains illuminated in a user's book until they have viewed it.  The author can track which users have/have not viewed the changed content, and follow up accordingly.

Notification Options: For Authors/Content Matter Experts

Authors have the ability to set notifications on their own content so that they know when it needs to be revisited/reviewed.  An author sets a review date for a piece of content, and then is automatically notified prior to this date (exactly how prior is a system defined preference).
