I need a larger printout of my drawing but I only have an 8.5" x 11" printer.
SiteCapture Pro allows drawings to be printed larger than your actual printer page size. The process is called page tiling and it is done by printing the drawing on a series of pages that can be trimmed and taped together. As an example, you could create an 11x17 print out by spanning the printed drawing over 28.5x11 inch pages.
To print an 11x17 drawing with an 8.5x11" printer:
1. From the SiteCapture Pro Desktop menu, choose File>Print.
2. Select the printer
3. Choose the Print Scaled or Fitted option based on your needs and click the Print button
An 11 x 17 page is can be achieved by 'tiling' two 8 1/2 x 11 pages together. The print should be set to Portrait for the tiling to work properly in creating this size output.
4. Choose an 'Output Scale from the dropdown. Notice the text below. It will show the number of pages wide by pages high. For 11x17 prints, you are looking for the largest scale that will show 2 pages x 1 page.
5. Set the page orientation to portrait
6. Set any other options for the Grid
7. Set the option for Reference marks. This option will print small marks on the printed pages so that you know where to cut and tape the pages together.
